For a long time, the only thing that made driving on the Schuylkill Expressway semi-worthwhile was that someone spray-painted the word “POOP” right before the Route 1/Roosevelt Boulevard overpass. One can only presume this was the work of some pissed off traveler who happened to have spray-paint in their car and was likely stuck in traffic.
Well, after many years of poop along the Schuylkill, poop has officially been painted over. In a strange way, I actually feel like a part of me died when I heard this news. No matter how pissed off and aggravated I would get while driving on the Schuylkill, I would always look forward to laughing at this. Now I guess it’s back to looking into other cars and seeing if people are picking their nose or rocking out to music.
